The Regina Police Service is requesting information from the public in its investigation into three possible pellet gun incidents that occurred the evening of Monday, June 7, 2010. Police are also investigating a fourth possible pellet gun incident, but a suspect has been identified in that case and it is not believed to be related to the other three.
The first three incidents happened on Monday, June 7, 2010, at about 8:43 p.m., 9:18 p.m. and 9:28 p.m. in the 3400 block of 4th Avenue, 900 block of Angus Street and 900 block of Connaught Street, respectively. In each case the complainant reported that a projectile has been fired at a front window. In each case, the outer pane of glass was broken, but the projectiles did not break through the inner pane of the window. One resident reported seeing a maroon-coloured vehicle with at least one passenger, but no suspects have been identified. The fourth incident, believed to be unrelated, involved a report of a projectile fired at a van in the 7200 block of Blakeney Avenue; police have identified a suspect in this case and will continue to investigate. No one was injured in these incidents.
Police are asking anyone with information in these incidents to contact the Regina Police Service at 777-6500 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
