The female victim of a vehicle/pedestrian collision that occurred on Thursday, September 2, 2010, has died in hospital.
On Thursday, September 2, 2010, at approximately 4:10 p.m., police were dispatched to the intersection of Quance Street and Truesdale Drive for a report of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian. Preliminary investigation indicated the victim, a 64 year-old female, was crossing the intersection, when she was struck by a vehicle making a right turn. Neither speed nor alcohol was an issue in this collision. The victim was taken to hospital by EMS. On Wednesday afternoon, September 8, 2010, police were notified of the victim’s death in hospital.
The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner will continue this investigation. The victim’s name will not be released at this time.
