Two males appeared in Provincial Court today on numerous charges, including drug and weapons charges, after an investigation that led to an arrest in northwest Regina last night.
As the result of investigation and surveillance, on September 20, 2012, Regina Police Service members followed a suspect vehicle to a business in northwest Regina and were able to positively identify two individuals known to be the subjects of Canada-wide warrants of arrest. Shortly after 5:00 p.m., the two males were taken into custody without incident and a handgun was seized. Police also seized a quantity of cash and a substance believed to be cocaine. Police obtained a warrant to the search the suspects’ vehicle and found an even larger amount of cocaine; the total amount seized is in excess of 500 grams. The subsequent investigation has led to charges against the two male suspects, in addition to their outstanding Canada-wide warrants. A third suspect, a 22 year-old female, was arrested just after noon on Friday, September 21, 2012 and it’s anticipated her arrest will lead to additional charges in this case.
Twenty-four year-old Jordan Allan BUNDUS, DOB: 1987-10-22, of Regina, is charged with Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5,000 [CC 355(b)]; Possession of Cocaine [CDSA 4(1)]; and Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking Cocaine [CDSA 5(2)].
Thirty-one year-old Aaron James DOUGLAS, DOB: 1981-03-30, of no fixed address, faces a total of twelve charges. They are: two charges of Breach of a Recognizance under s. 810 [CC 811]; Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose [CC 88]; Carrying a Concealed Weapon [CC 90]; Unauthorized Possession of Firearm [CC 91(1)]; Possession of Firearm in a Motor Vehicle [CC 94(1)(a)(i)]; Possession of a Loaded Firearm with Ammunition [CC 95(1)(a)]; Possession of a Firearm with Tampered Serial Number [CC 108(1)(B)]; Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Order [CC 117.01(1)]; Possession of Proceeds of Crime Under $5,000 [CC 355(b)]; Possession of Cocaine [CDSA 4(1)]; and Possession for the Purposes of Trafficking Cocaine [CDSA 5(2)].
Both BUNDUS and DOUGLAS appeared in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2012. The third individual arrested has not been charged as of the time of this news release.
