At 1722 hours today, a Regina Transit Bus was travelling EAST bound on 11th Avenue at Hamilton Street. For reasons still under investigation the Transit Bus struck a pole in the 1900 Block 11th Avenue. The pole was knocked over and struck a 50-year-old female who was standing at the bus stop. The victim was transported to hospital with serious head injuries. The Transit Bus was operated by a 39-year-old male Transit driver. There were 4 passengers on the bus, but aside from the injuries to the pedestrian there were no other injuries. The incident is under investigation.
