On Thursday November 7, 2013, members from the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit executed a search warrant at a residence located in the 2000 block Ottawa St, Regina. A 45 year old male was arrested and charged with Possession of Child Pornography, Accessing Child Pornography and Making Available Child Pornography.
Charged was Darren John ZILINSKI, (D.O.B.- August 14, 1968). ZILINSKI will make his first court appearance at Provincial Court Friday morning, November 8, 2013.
ZILINSKI was previously charged in 2009 for Possession of Child Pornography and Make Available Child Pornography, and was convicted of these charges in 2010. That investigation stemmed from a National ICE initiative- Project SALVO.
The Saskatchewan ICE Unit is comprised of investigators from the R.C.M.P., Regina Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service and Prince Albert Police Service. Their mandate is to investigate crimes involving the abuse and/or exploitation of children on the Internet.
