The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner, is conducting a homicide investigation involving a firearm, after the discovery of a deceased male in the 500 block of Montreal Street just before 1:45 a.m. this morning, Friday, Nov 1, 2013. This is Regina’s ninth homicide of 2013.
Police were dispatched after a call this morning at 1:31 a.m., to the 500 block of Montreal Street, for a report of fighting in a yard and on the street. Police and EMS arrived and found a deceased male victim, who had been shot. EMS pronounced the male deceased. The deceased person, an 18 year-old male, has been identified and next-of-kin has been notified. His name will not be released at this time.
The investigation, in conjunction with Office of the Chief Coroner, is ongoing.
