As the result of ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the city of Regina, police have seized a quantity of illegal substances as well as a stolen firearm.
An investigation by the Regina Police Service, including members of the Regina Integrated Drug Enforcement Street Team (RIDEST) led to the execution of a Controlled Drug and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant on Sunday, November 30th for a residence on the 400 block of Pasqua as well as a vehicle used by the resident.
Seized in the searches was a various quantity of drugs, including methamphetamine, cocaine, and marihuana as well as drug paraphernalia. Also seized in the search were firearms and ammunition.
Thirty-five year-old Alan Matthew KYLE, DOB: 1979-06-29, of Regina, is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (methamphetamine) [5(2) CDSA]; Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (cocaine) [5(2) CDSA]; Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance in Excess of 30g (marihuana) [4(5) CDSA]; Careless Use of a Firearm [91(1) CC]; Possession of a Controlled Substance (hash) [4(1) CDSA]; Possession of Property obtained by crime over $5,000 (proceeds, cash) [355(a) CC].
KYLE made his first appearance in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, December 1, 2014.
