The Regina Police Service is investigating into a break and enter that occurred yesterday on the 1600 block of Retallack Street.
On Thursday, December 4, 2014 at approximately 5:56 p.m. police were dispatched to a residence on the 1600 block of Retallack Street to a report of a weapons offence involving a firearm. It is believed that as two males occupied the residence, a group of four males approached in a vehicle from outside. The door of the residence was kicked in and one of the males in the residence was assaulted with a bladed weapon. The two males chased the intruders outside to their vehicle where one of the foursome produced a firearm from the vehicle and discharged it in the direction of one of the victims, missing, as the vehicle drove away.
The victim of the assault was treated by EMS and transported to hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening.
The suspect vehicle was located and a 26 year-old male was arrested without incident. There are three outstanding suspects to be located. The firearm has not been recovered.
Twenty-six year-old Logan Edward-Thomas ROSS (DOB:1988/03/01) is charged with Attempt Murder [239 CC], Break and Enter To Commit Assault [348(1)(B) CC], Assault With A Weapon [267(A) CC], Fail to Comply [145(3) CC], and Use of Firearm During Commission of an Indictable Offence [85(1)(A) CC]. ROSS makes his court appearance today, December 5, 2014, at 2:00 p.m.
