A 22 year-old male is facing a number of charges related to recent Thefts and Break and Enters in Regina.
On June 1, 2015, police were dispatched to a report of a suspicious person in the 3100 block of Avonhurst Drive. It was alleged the male had just stolen a bicycle and was attempting to ride the bike while carrying a large television. Police attended and located a 22 year-old male and found him to be in possession of a stolen bicycle, a stolen television and other miscellaneous items believed to be stolen as well.
Twenty-two year-old Andrew James DEBRUYCKER, DOB: 1992-11-15, of no fixed address, was charged with Theft Under $5000 [334(B) CC], and three charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 [CC 355(B)]. He was released on an undertaking to appear in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on July 14, 2015.
On June 29, 2015, police were dispatched to the 8300 block of Struthers Crescent for a report of a male who appeared to be unconscious in the driver’s seat of a car. When police arrived, they determined the car had been reported stolen a day earlier. They located a 22 year-old male and arrested him for possession of stolen property as well as a breach of a condition to keep the peace.
The accused is 22 year-old Andrew James DEBRUYCKER, DOB: 1992-11-15, of no fixed address. His new charges are: charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 [355(A) CC], and Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking Given by Officer in Charge [145(5.1) CC]. DEBRUYCKER made his first court appearance on these charge in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. today (Tuesday, June 30, 2015).
