The Regina Police Service has been investigating a series of complaints from victims of fraud. A small construction company was hired by multiple customers to do contract renovation work (installing shingles, painting, deck building, siding, etc). Several customers paid large sums of money as a deposit on work that was promised to be completed.
Police reviewed these complaints and it was determined that the male receiving the deposits for the contracts never started, completed, or ordered material for many of the contracts. Arrest warrants were executed and the male was arrested yesterday.
