The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner, is conducting a death investigation after the discovery of a deceased, adult male on the north side of Wascana Lake, near the south end of Willow Island.
Police were dispatched to the area shortly after 3:30 p.m. today: Monday, August 10, 2015. Patrol members set up a perimeter around the area where the deceased person was found and requested the Coroner. Police will now work with the Coroner’s Office to establish the identity of the deceased, notify his next of kin and clarify the circumstances of this person’s death. There is no indication, at this time, that there is a criminal aspect to this death and as such, the Regina Police service will continue to assist the office of the Chief Coroner to clarify the circumstances.
