Two males, ages 25 and 26, are facing numerous drug-related charges as the result of ongoing investigation into drug-trafficking in the City of Regina.
This investigation, by members of the Regina Integrated Drug Enforcement Team, led to evidence of a 26 year-old male suspect trafficking in a controlled substance on February 13th and again on February 18th. This individual was arrested, without incident, on February 18th, at a business in south Regina. Upon arrest, the 26 year-old suspect was found to be in possession of substances later determined to be methamphetamine, cocaine and marihuana. Investigators requested a search warrant for a residence in the 3200 block of Woodhams Drive. At about the same time, a vehicle was noted leaving the residence, so patrol members conducted a traffic stop on the suspicion of drug involvement by one or more of the occupants of the vehicle. The 25 year-old male passenger was found to be in breach of court-ordered conditions and placed under arrest. Further investigation led to additional charges against this individual. The 34 year-old male driver, who was arrested at the same time, was later released without charges. The search of the residence in the 3200 block of Woodhams Drive, with the assistance of a Canine team, produced a significant quantity of cocaine as well as methamphetamine and marihuana. There was also a large sum of Canadian currency seized, along with ammunition and weigh scales and packaging associated to drug trafficking. Two males were subsequently charged with numerous drug-related offences.
