A 25 year-old Regina male is facing weapons and drug charges after the execution of a high-risk search warrant in the 1500 block of Cameron Street the night of Tuesday, February 16, 2016, which involved the use of two Regina Police Service Emergency Service Teams: Negotiators and SWAT.
As part of ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in the city of Regina, the Special Weapons and Tactics, or SWAT, as well as Crisis Negotiator teams were utilized in the execution of a high-risk search warrant at a residence in the 1500 block of Cameron Street. The warrant was executed without incident and number of people at the residence were taken into custody to determine their involvement in criminal activity, if any. Two firearms, ammunition and drugs were seized in the search. As a result of the investigation, a 25 year-old male was charged.
Twenty-five year-old Justin D. MARTINEAU, DOB: 1990-04-13, of Regina is charged with:
– Three charges of Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Order, [117.01(1) CC] and
– Possession of a Scheduled Substance, [4(1) CDSA].
MARTINEAU will make his court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2016.
