The Regina Police Service in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner is conducting a homicide investigation, after the discovery of a deceased male on August 5, 2016. This is the fifth homicide in Regina in 2016.
On Friday August 5 at approximately 5:15 p.m., police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Macdonald Street in Regina for a report of a deceased male. Police attended and found the male deceased. The RPS Major Crimes Unit, Forensic Identification Unit, the Coroner’s Office, and uniformed members of the Community Services Division are investigating.
Further to the original media release, the deceased male has been identified as Abdisalam Dahir NUR, DOB: 1988/09/20 of Edmonton, Alberta. Next of kin has been notified. NUR’s death has been confirmed as a homicide. No other details will be released at this time.
