Charges have been laid in connection to a robbery and theft of auto that occurred on Thursday, November 17, 2016.
On November 17, 2016, at approximately 7:35 a.m,, police received a report of an armed robbery at a parking lot on Kleisinger Crescent. An eighty-four year-old female was scraping the windows of her car when she was approached by two young males. The eighty-four year-old female was pushed to ground and sustained injury, and the males left in her vehicle.
The victim was treated by EMS and taken to hospital as a precaution.
A short time later, the vehicle was located and recovered in the area of Stern Bay and Sangster Boulevard.
Investigation led to three young males, who were taken into custody.
Twenty-one year-old Shane WESAQUATE, of Payton, SK, is charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)];
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 [CC 355(A)];
- 2 X Fail to comply with probation order [CC 733.1(1)];
Eighteen year-old Destin MOSQUITO, of Onion Lake, First Nation, SK, is charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)];
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 [CC 355(A)];
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 [CC 355(B)];
Eighteen year-old Lyndross SAPP, of Little Pine, First Nation, SK, is charged with:
- Possession of ammunition contrary to prohibition order [CC 117.01(1)]
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)];
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 [CC 355(A)];
All three made their first appearance in Provincial Court on these charges, Friday, November 18, 2016 at 9:30 a.m.
