The Regina Police Service is asking for information from the public to assist in the investigation of an armed robbery that occurred just before 2:00 a.m. on Sunday morning.
Police were dispatched, at approximately 1:58 a.m. Sunday, December 4, 2016, to a restaurant in the 300 block of Albert Street, for a report of a robbery. Preliminary investigation indicates two males entered the business, approached the bar and demanded money from a staff member. One of the suspects was carrying a firearm; the other had bear spray. One of the suspects struck a staff member in the face. The two obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and, as they left the bar, one discharged bear spray into the room. The suspects may or may not have had a vehicle waiting. It’s believed both suspects are male, about 5’ 9” and 5’ 10” in height, each weighing about 150 pounds. The suspects were wearing dark-coloured clothing.
