The Regina Police Service was called to a home in the 1400 block of Robinson Street for an assault with a weapon incident at 7:30 pm.
Prior to police arrival, two females were arguing inside the home and the argument turned physical. The two females were pulled apart by a mutual friend. A short time later the argument resumed and one of the females grabbed a paring knife from the kitchen and stabbed the other female. The victim, a 28 year-old, was stabbed twice in the chest region and suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect fled the residence before police arrived. The suspect was later found at a different location by police and arrested without incident.
Twenty-nine year-old Amanda WASACASE (DOB: 1988/01/07) is charged with assault with a weapon [267(A) CC] and two breach offences. WASACASE appears in Provincial Court on these charges today, January 10, 2016 at 9:30 a.m.
