A fifth person: a 21 year-old male, has been arrested and charged in connection with a shooting incident on January 26, 2017, that sent a 22 year-old male to hospital.
As reported in a previous news release, four persons are already charged in this case. The incident occurred on January 26, 2017 at a house on Deergrove Crescent. Regina Police Service patrol members were dispatched at about 8:19 p.m. for a report of an altercation and shots fired. Just minutes later, the police Communications Centre got a call from a house in the 900 block of Shannon Road, indicating a male had arrived at that point with apparent gun shot wounds. The male was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries. Investigation determined the 22 year-old male victim was wounded at the house on Deergrove Crescent. As the result of continued investigation into this incident, Regina Police Service members arrested a fifth person in this case. The 21 year-old male was taken into custody without incident at approximately noon today ( Monday, January 30, 2017).
Twenty-one year-old Tyler Earl ELLIS-THOMSON, DOB: 1995-12-23, of Moose Jaw, is charged with Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence, section 465(1)(c) CC; and tw2o charges of Breach of Undertaking, section 145(5.1) CC. ELLIS-THOMSON will make his first court appearance on these charges in provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2017.
