On the night of January 21, 2017, at approximately 11:50 p.m., officers observed a stolen vehicle with two occupants in the area of 6th Avenue and Elphinstone. The two occupants exited the vehicle in an alley and fled on foot. Canine tracked from the abandoned vehicle, leading police to the two suspects, a twenty-six year-old female and a thirty-one year-old female, who were arrested and charged. A quantity of a substance, believed to be methamphetamine was found on the twenty-six year-old female.
Thirty-one year-old Glenna Florence MARIE (DOB: 1985/12/28), of Saskatoon, is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 [CC 355(A)].
Twenty-six year-old Victoria Ann LALIBERTE (DOB: 1990/03/07), of Saskatoon, is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 [CC 355(A)]; possession of a scheduled substance (methamphetamine) [4(1) CDSA]; and failure to comply with probation order [733.1(1) CC].
Both accused make their first appearance in Provincial Court on these charges on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at 9:30 a.m.
