A 51 year-old Regina male is facing a total of 22 charges, including indecent acts and distributing intimate images without the consent of the person depicted. The charges follow a lengthy investigation into complaints of indecent acts in Regina’s Heritage and Centre Square neighbourhoods. The investigation also involved the discovery of several copies of intimate images stapled to signs in various locations around the city.
The alleged indecent acts occurred between November 30, 2016 and January 15, 2017. The offending behavior, in most of the cases, involved a male approaching a parked car with a female occupant, and exposing his genitals and masturbating. Although investigation began with the first report on November 30, 2016; police were not able to identify a suspect and gather enough evidence to charge an individual until Friday, February 17, 2017. A 51 year-old Regina male was arrested without incident. In the course of the investigation, police also discovered 12 images, described as intimate in nature, which had been posted in public places, most stapled to signs. It’s alleged the images were posted without the victim’s consent.
