The Regina Police Service, in partnership with the Regina Fire & Protective Services, has identified three youths involved with a house fire that occurred on the 800 block of Garnet Street on Sunday, May 14, 2017.
On Sunday, May 14, 2017, at approximately 7:04 p.m., the Regina Fire & Protective Services were called to a fire at a garage located adjacent to a residence on the 800 block of Garnet Street. The residents of the house, who were home at the time, were able to escape safely, unharmed. The garage suffered significant structural damage, and the house suffered exposure damage. There was also damage to the vehicle parked at the residence. Investigators with the Regina Police Service were able to obtain confessions from the youth suspects.
The three youth, who cannot be charged as they are all under the age of twelve, will be given appropriate follow-up support services and programming to ensure consequences will be taken for their actions.
