A 34 year-old Regina male is facing drug trafficking and drug possession charges following his arrest on warrant for an alleged breach of a Conditional Sentence Order (CSO).
On May 1, 2017, police observed a male, known to be the subject of a warrant for arrest. When seen, the male was also in breach of a condition ordered by the courts. Officers were able to follow this male and approached him in a business in the 300 block of North McCarthy Boulevard. Officers took the male into custody without incident and, in the search incident to his arrest, found him to be in possession of substances believed to be methamphetamine and cocaine. A vehicle used by the suspect was also searched; officers located evidence consistent with drug trafficking. The male suspect was subsequently charged.
In addition to three alleged breaches of his Conditional Sentence Order (CSO), 34 year-old Jason Lee SPARVIER, DOB: 1982-07-30, of Regina is facing a charge of Trafficking in a Scheduled Substance (methamphetamine), [5(1) CDSA]; Possession of a Scheduled Substance (cocaine), [4(1) CDSA]; and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 [355(b) CC]. SPARVIER made his first court appearance on the new charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2017.
