The Regina Police Service is investigating a possible shooting believed to have occurred early this morning on Fines Drive.
Police were dispatched at 3:28 a.m. on Monday, May 29, 2017, to the area of the 200-300 blocks of Fines Drive after receiving a call indicating the sound of possible gunfire. Police attended and found a male who was taken to hospital by EMS with undetermined injuries, described at this time as non-life-threatening. Police have identified the victim as a 24 year-old male. Initially, police secured the general area of the 200-300 block of Fines Drive. It’s believed an altercation occurred outdoors in this area. Police have collapsed that original perimeter and are now holding a residence in the area, believed to be associated to the incident. Investigators are still conducting inquiries and searching for potential physical evidence in order to clarify the circumstances and determine who is involved in this event.
