On July 8, 2017, at approximately 11:01 a.m. police were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision between a Regina Transit bus and a mini-van, at Argyle Street and 3rd Avenue in Regina.
Investigation determined the bus was westbound on 3rd Avenue and the minivan was southbound on Argyle Street. The mini-van disregarded a yield sign, and the bus swerved to avoid a collision and subsequently struck a tree.
Regina EMS attended to the scene to treat minor injuries to both vehicle occupants. Injuries were treated at the collision scene and no one was required to be transported to a hospital.
The driver of the mini-van was charged under the Traffic Safety Act for disobeying a yield sign.
