The Regina Police is continuing to investigate an early-morning altercation that resulted in serious injuries to a 16 year-old male. Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Regina Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
At approximately 3:24 a.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017, two patrol officers were travelling west on 6th Avenue North on an unrelated call for service when they came across a group of people gathered around a male, who was lying in the street in the 1200 block of 6th Avenue North. The officers requested EMS and the male, later identified as a 16 year-old, was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious. The victim remains in hospital at this time. Police are continuing to investigate and at this time have not identified the suspect or suspects in this case. Police held the area where the victim was found until the afternoon and Forensic Identification unit members attended to gather photos and any potential physical evidence.
