The Regina Police Service will continue to assist the Office of the Chief Coroner in investigating the death of a woman, who was found, deceased, in an area east of the Ring Road, Tuesday afternoon.
Police and EMS were dispatched 1100 block of Ring Road, near the Ross Avenue off-ramp, at approximately 1:37 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, upon the discovery of a person, who was believed to be deceased. EMS confirmed the death and police, in conjunction with the Coroner, began investigation into the circumstances. The deceased woman has been identified and her family has been notified of her death. She is a 76 year-old Regina woman; however, her name will not be released by police. Based on the information gathered in this investigation, it is believed this is a non-criminal death.
The Regina Police Service will continue to assist the Office of the Chief Coroner in efforts to establish the circumstances of this person’s death. There are no other details for release in this matter.
