On October 14, 2017, at approximately 12:26 am, police located a stolen vehicle driving in the area of College and Winnipeg Street. Police turned around to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle had disappeared from sight. After a brief search of the area, police located the vehicle, abandoned. Canine members conducted a track from the stolen auto which led to the back door of a residence located on the 1100 block of College Avenue. Eight people were arrested at this residence, seven now face charges.
Eighteen year-old Kashtin Earlin Creed QUEWEZANCE (1998/12/22), of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 [CC 355(A)] and
- 3 X Fail to Comply [YCJA 137].
Eighteen year-old Troy CARDINAL (1999/05/17), of Regina, is charged with:
- Fail to Comply [CC 145(3)]; and
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 [CC 355(A)].
A sixteen year-old Regina male, who will not be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with:
- Fail to Comply [YCJA 137].
A fifteen year-old Quappelle male, who will not be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 [CC 355(A)]; and
- Fail to Comply [YCJA 137].
A fifteen year-old Regina male, who will not be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 [CC 355(A)]; and
- Fail to Comply [YCJA 137].
A fourteen year-old Regina male, who will not be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with:
- Fail to Comply [CC 145(3)]; and
- Fail to Comply [YCJA 137].
A twelve year-old Regina male, who will not be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with:
- Fail to Comply [CC 145(3)].
QUEWEZANCE and CARDINAL made their first appearances on these charges in Provincial Court today October 16, 2017, at 9:30 am. The remaining five charged youth made their first appearances in Provincial Youth Court today at 9:30 am.
