The Regina Police Service is asking the public for any information that could assist in an investigation into a weapons offence this afternoon.
Just after 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday (today), November 29, 2017, police were dispatched to the 800 block of Robinson Street for a report of injured persons. When police arrived they located two adult females, who were the victims of an apparent assault. EMS also arrived to treat the victims and take them to hospital. Although this investigation is in its very early stages, it appears the females were assaulted with an edged weapon. There was a white vehicle in the area at the time of the assault, but at this stage in the investigation, it’s not known whether the vehicle and its occupant(s) were involved. Police are investigating to determine what led up to this assault and who may be responsible.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. The Regina Police Service thanks the public and the media for their assistance in this matter.
