On November 10, 2017, at approximately 5:30 pm, Regina Police Service patrol members noticed a vehicle matching one described as stolen. A check of the license plate indicated that the vehicle did not match the plate, and police performed a vehicle stop, with the vehicle stopping on 12th Avenue and Quebec Street. The vehicle was occupied by a twenty-seven year-old female driver, a forty-one year-old male and forty-one year-old female. Police observed a large knife between the front occupants of the vehicle, and all three occupants were arrested. A search revealed knives, drug paraphernalia, and substances believed to be methamphetamine and cocaine, and the three were subsequently charged.
Forty-one year-old Chantel Deanna HUBICK (DOB: 1976/10/10), of Regina, is charged with:
• Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 [CC 355(A)];
• Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 [CC 355(B)];
• Possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine) [CDSA 5(2)];
• Possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine) [CDSA 5(2)]; and
• Fail to comply [CC 733.1(1)].
Twenty-seven year-old Mercedes Ashton Andrea KITZ (DOB: 1990/10/11), of Regina, is charged with:
• Possession of a weapon [CC 88];
• Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 [CC 355(A)];
• Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 [CC 355(B)];
• Possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine) [CDSA 5(2)];
• Possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine) [CDSA 5(2)];
• Fail to comply [CC 733.1(1)]; and
• Fail to comply [CC 145(3)].
Forty-one year-old Joseph Sheldon PELLETIER (DOB: 1976/07/19), of Yorkton, is charged with:
• Possession of a weapon [CC 88];
• Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 [CC 355(A)];
• Possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine) [CDSA 5(2)];
• Possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine) [CDSA 5(2)]; and
• Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 [CC 355(B)].
All three charged made their first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court this morning, November 14, 2017, at 9:30 am.
