On December 27, 2017, at approximately 11:36 am, police were dispatched to the area of Dewdney Avenue and Lewvan Drive. Information received was that a male and female were involved in a physical altercation outside.
Police arrived to find many witnesses who had observed the event. It is believed that one of the witnesses, believed to be a male, recorded the incident on his cell phone, but left before contacting police. Police are requesting that this individual contact police. Police are also requesting that any other person who witnessed this occurrence to contact police as well.
The investigation led to a 34 year-old male, who was arrested and charged.
Thirty-four year-old Kirby Allan BOYD is charged with assault [CC 266]. BOYD made his first appearance on this charge in Provincial Court this morning, December 28, 2017, at 9:30 am.
