The Regina Police Service is asking for information from the public that may help to solve an incident in which shots were fired at a Regina residence on the weekend, breaking a front window. Fortunately, nobody was injured in this incident.
At approximately 2:45 a.m. on Sunday morning, December 17, 2017, police were dispatched to a house in the 2000 block of Toronto Street for a report of a shot, or shots, fired at a house. It’s believed the shots were fired at approximately 2:25 a.m., about 20 minutes before police were called. When police arrived they learned that residents of the house were awakened by the sound of shots and glass breaking. One resident discovered a hole in a front window of the house and what appeared to be a bullet lodged in a wall. Fortunately neither of the residents of the house were injured. While police were interviewing the victims, other officers did a search of the area but did not locate any suspect or suspects. Police have interviewed neighbours and recovered some physical evidence from inside and outside the residence. At this time, there are no suspects in custody in connection with this incident.
This incident is still under investigation. Anyone who has information that could assist police is asked to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
