Police are seeking information from the public as they investigate a number of recent business robberies. Although some of the details in each case vary, investigators believe these cases may be related. There are six such cases and they have taken place in late December/early January, in the early morning hours before 6:00 am. Police are also encouraging business owners or operators of 24-hour businesses to ensure their staff safety protocols and crime prevention measures are up to date.
In most cases, two male suspects enter a business, and in most cases, a bladed weapon is involved. Suspects demand cash, and flee the scene, often in a vehicle.
As indicated, it has not been confirmed through investigation that these cases are related. The incidents are as follows:
December 30, 2017 – 5:53 am – 3600 block Sherwood Drive
December 31,2017 at 4:03 am – 2100 block Pasqua Street
December 31, 2017 at 4:28 am – 100 block Albert Street
January 1, 2018 at 3:51 am – 1900 block Fleet Street
January 3, 2018 at 515 am – 4200 Albert Street
January 3, 2018 at 5:28 am – 3200 Montague Street
