A 27 year-old Regina male is facing charges in connection with a stolen vehicle incident on the weekend.
On Sunday, January 21, 2018, at approximately 4:11 p.m., police were dispatched to the 2700 block of Victoria Avenue East for the report of a stolen vehicle. Police followed and observed the vehicle driving throughout the city, until it was abandoned at a residence on the 4500 block of 4th Avenue. Police then arrested and charged the driver, a 27 year-old male. The male was also found to be the subject of numerous warrants from British Columbia including both property and violent offences.
A search revealed a quantity of a substance believed to be methamphetamine.
Twenty-seven year-old Samuel Rodney COPEMAN, of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 [CC 355(A)];
- Fail to comply [CC 145(3)];
- Possession of a scheduled substance (methamphetamine) [CDSA 4(1)]; and
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 [CC 355(B)].
COPEMAN makes his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court today, January 22, 2018, at 2:00 p.m.
