On Monday, January 15, 2018, at approximately 2:30 am, police attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle on 1st Avenue N and McCarthy Boulevard, but the vehicle evaded police. Police located the vehicle parked in the alley on the 1100 block of Minto Street. The two occupants, a male and a female, were arrested. A search revealed quantities of substances believed to be crack cocaine and methamphetamine.
Twenty-seven year-old Kevin Michael JARDINE is charged with:
- Possession of a scheduled substance (methamphetamine) for the purposes of trafficking [CDSA 5(2)];
- Possession of a scheduled substance (cocaine) for the purposes of trafficking [CDSA 5(2)];
- Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle [CT 249(1)(A)]; and
- Fail to comply [CC 145(5.1)].
Twenty-nine year-old Megan Marie BIRDSELL is charged with:
- Possession of a scheduled substance (methamphetamine) for the purposes of trafficking [CDSA 5(2)]; and
- Possession of a scheduled substance (cocaine) for the purposes of trafficking [CDSA 5(2)].
Both JARDINE and BIRDSELL made their first appearance in Provincial Court on these charges today, January 15, 2018, at 9:30 am.
