The Regina Police Service is requesting information from the public in locating a vehicle that was involved in a robbery and assault with a weapon.
On Friday, April 13, 2018, at approximately 8:16 am, police were dispatched to the 2900 block of Parliament Avenue for the report of a robbery and assault. Police arrived to find a male with injuries consistent with a stabbing. EMS attended to the male, who was transported to hospital.
It is believed that the victim, a 34 year-old male, was operating a taxi-cab, and his vehicle was stolen by the assailant. No one is currently in custody involving this incident.
Police are currently seeking a 2012 black Dodge Caravan taxi-cab, Regina Cabs # 29, with license plate number 979 KNW. Police are asking the public that if they do see the vehicle to call police immediately. Do not approach the vehicle or driver. [Update: Vehicle located]
Police held the scene on Parliament Avenue between Retallack Street and Robinson Street for investigation into this incident, blocking east- and westbound traffic. The scene has now been cleared and traffic flow is returned to normal.
