A 56 year-old Regina male has been charged in connection with two recent robberies.
On Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at approximately 3:00 p.m., police were dispatched to a business on the 600 block of College Avenue for the report of a robbery. A masked male entered the business armed with a firearm, demanded money and merchandise, and fled.
Later that day, June 19, 2018, at approximately 6:30 p.m., a male entered a store located on the 3800 block of Sherwood Drive, and pointed a firearm at the clerk. The clerk handed over cash, and the suspect fled.
Investigation into both of these instances led to a 56 year-old male, who was arrested and charged.
Fifty-six year-old Timothy Steven SOLOMON, of Regina, is charged with:
- 2 X Possession of a firearm/ammunition contrary to prohibition order [CC 117.01(1)];
- 2 X Use of imitation firearm during commission of indictable offense [CC 85(2)(A)];
- 2 X Armed robbery using a firearm [CC 344(1)(A.1)]; and
- Disguise with intent [CC 351(2)].
SOLOMON made his first appearance in Provincial Court on these charges this morning, Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 9:30 a.m.
A firearm has not yet been recovered; However, police are continuing the investigation.
