The Regina Police Service is conducting an investigation into two separate firearm offences that both occurred in the evening hours of June 25, 2018.
In the first incident, police were dispatched to a home of a male victim who had been shot by a firearm while away from his home. The shooting occurred in the vicinity of Victoria Avenue and McTavish Street according to the victim at around 5pm. Injuries to the victim were not life threatening. Details of this incident are limited at this point, and the investigation is continuing.
A second firearm offence occurred in the 1300 block of Garnet Street just before 8 pm. In this incident as well, the victim was a male. The victim suffered an abdomen injury as a result of a bullet entering his body in his mid-section region. The injuries suffered by this victim were of a serious nature and his status at this time is unknown. The investigation surrounding this incident is also ongoing.
It is unknown at this point if the two firearm offences are related.
