A fifth person is now charged, facing a charge of Break and Enter with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence, arising from the investigation into the 4th homicide in Regina in 2018.
As indicated in previous news releases, this investigation began with the discovery of a deceased male in a house in the 1100 block of Retallack Street just after 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. Police and the Office of the Chief Coroner determined that the death was a homicide. The deceased person is 35 year-old Shawn COGHILL, of Regina. Investigation led, initially, to the arrests of two males, one charged with murder and the second facing a firearms charge. This was followed by a third arrest of a 33 year-old male: charged with Break and Enter and a firearms charge, in connection with this case. On Wednesday, July 18, 2018, police arrested and charged a 25 year-old male: the fourth person charged in connection with this case. Now a fifth person faces a charge in connection with this investigation. This individual, a 26 year-old Regina male, was arrested on Thursday, July 26, 2018.
Twenty-six year-old Joseph Anthony PELLETIER, of Regina, is charged with Break and Enter with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence [348(1)(a) CC].
PELLETIER made his first court appearance on this charge in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2018.
