On June 30, 2018 at 7:21 p.m., members of the Regina Police Service were deployed in the arrest of three males involved in an attempted murder. Multiple calls were received by RPS regarding gunshots in the
neighbourhood of 1800 block of Greer Court. Upon arrival, Patrol units found a male victim who had suffered apparent gunshot wounds. The male was subsequently taken to hospital, treated for minor injuries, and released.
Investigation by Patrol and Canine members led to suspects in the 1400 block of Vaughn Street. Two adult males were immediately taken into custody. A third was believed to be inside a residence in that block. Despite attempts to negotiate the suspect’s surrender, Patrol was unable to establish contact with the third male.
Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), Canine and Crisis Negotiators attended the residence. Just after 2 a.m. on July 1, 2018, the third suspect finally exited the residence and was taken into custody.
Twenty-one year old Joseph LITTLECROW, twenty-four year old Donnelly NANAQUATUNG, and twenty-six year old Derrick PASAP, all of Regina, are charged jointly with attempt murder (S. 239 CC), discharging a firearm with intent (S. 244.2(1b) CC) , and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose (S. 88 CC). PASAP is additionally charged with breach of undertaking (S. 145(5.1) CC) and breach of a prohibition order (S. 117.01(1) CC).
