On July 20, 2018, at approximately 1:00 am, police were dispatched to a hotel on the 1800 block of Victoria Avenue E for the report of a weapons offence. A group of males were seen exiting a third floor room, with one male carrying a gun. An offensive gas, believed to be bear spray, was present, coming from the room.
Police arrived to learn that four males had just left the hotel. Police entered the third floor room to check for injured persons and observed drug paraphernalia, and a substance believed to be methamphetamine.
Investigation led to an 18 year-old male, and a 32 year-old female, who were arrested nearby and charged.
Thirty-two year-old Krista Deloraine Marie ROGERS, of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of a scheduled substance (methamphetamine) for the purpose of trafficking [CDSA 5(2)].
Eighteen year-old Sean Gary STEVENSON, of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of a scheduled substance (methamphetamine) for the purpose of trafficking [CDSA 5(2)];
- 2 X Fail to comply [CC 145(3)]; and
- Fail to comply with probation order [733.1(1) CC].
A firearm has not yet been recovered, nor has a source of bear spray believed to be involved in this incident.
ROGERS and STEVENSON are scheduled to make their first appearance on their charges in Provincial Court on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 9:30 a.m.
