A fifty-four year-old Regina male is facing numerous charges relating to recent thefts from autos and possession of stolen property.
On July 24, 2018 at approximately 1:00 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Rose Street responding to a report of possible found stolen property. Police located several items in a dumpster. Some of the items in the dumpster were identified as property stolen in a theft from auto that was reported on July 22, 2018.
The investigation resulting from the recovered property led to police identifying a suspect. On July 27, 2018 at approximately 12:45 a.m., police located and apprehended the suspect on the 1800 block of Rose Street. A warrant for the suspect’s residence was obtained and executed. Many pieces of stolen property were found in the residence including tools, clothing, luggage, a bicycle, and telescope equipment. The recovered property was linked to multiple thefts from autos that occurred between July 8, 2018 and July 25, 2018. Further investigations led to charges against the suspect. Investigators are in the process of contacting the owners of the recovered property in order to return their property to them.
A fifty-four year-old Regina male will face numerous property crime charges. At the time of this news release, the details are not yet available. This individual will make his first court appearance on Monday, July 30, 2018.
