A 44 year-old man is facing charges relating to theft and possession of stolen property. On June 8, 2018, police were dispatched to the 1400 block of 14th Avenue for the report of a theft. A bag, which included a bank card, was stolen from its owner. Investigation into this theft revealed the stolen bank card was used to make purchases at four separate businesses. The suspect, or suspects, used the TAP feature of the card to make the unauthorized purchases. Continued investigation led to identification of a 44 year-old male.
On June 25, 2018, police located and apprehended the suspect male near the intersection of Albert Street and Saskatchewan Drive.
Forty-four year-old Robert George PRATT, of no fixed address, is charged with:
- 4 x Theft Under $5000 [334(B) CC];
- 4 x Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 [355(B) CC].
PRATT made his first court appearance on June 26, 2018 at 9:30a.m.
