A thirty-six year-old male has been charged under the Traffic Safety Act after a semi-trailer tipped over on the Albert Street exit ramp onto the Ring Road. On July 19, 2018, at approximately 3:00 p.m., police were dispatched to the south-bound Albert Street exit ramp that leads to the east-bound Ring Road for a call regarding a semi-trailer that had tipped on its side.
The driver of the semi was exiting Albert Street onto the east-bound Ring Road ramp when he lost control of the truck and tipped over. Traffic was temporarily restricted on the exit ramp where the incident occurred as well as the off-ramp from east-bound Ring Road onto Albert Street while the investigation and clean-up occurred.
The 36 year-old male driver was treated for minor injuries on scene. The driver was charged with Driving Without Due Care and Attention [231(1) TSA].
