As part of our commitment to Traffic Safety, Regina Police Service will be hosting a Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (S.T.E.P.) Fall Enforcement Blitz on August 16th & 17th in the Regina area.
A two-day initiative will consist of a large scale enforcement campaign that will take place in varied locations around Regina.
Police from police agencies across Saskatchewan will present at these spots, so motorists should be prepared to stop. Police will be looking for traffic violations and – if they find any – they will take enforcement action. Some targeted offences include speeding, seatbelt use, cellular phone use, unlicensed drivers and commercial vehicle violations. As usual, criminal offences such as impaired driving will be high on the priority list of enforcement.
S.T.E.P. is a multi-agency task force focused on strategies to improve traffic safety in the province. Members include representatives from police forces across Saskatchewan.
