An 18 year-old female has been charged in connection with a stolen auto incident on Saturday, September 1, 2018.
This investigation began at approximately 2:36 a.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2018, when officers, on routine patrol, noticed a vehicle stopped in the roadway, in the area of Saskatchewan Drive and McTavish Street. The officers pulled in behind the vehicle and a check of the vehicle license plate confirmed the car was a stolen vehicle. The female driver of the vehicle was questioned by police and found to be on conditions prohibiting her from driving a motor vehicle. Further investigation led to her arrest on a breach, possession of stolen auto and obstruction (for giving a false name).
Eighteen year-old Chekesha GEORGE, of no fixed address, Regina, is charged with:
- Obstruction of a Peace Officer, [129(a CC];
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 [355(b) CC]; and
- Breach of Probation [733.1(1) CC].
GEORGE was released on an Officer Undertaking to appear in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2018.
