A 19 year-old male has been charged in connection with a break and enter at a broadcast media facility early this morning.
Police were contacted at about 5:08 a.m., today: Tuesday, September 11, 2018, initially for a report of a disturbance at the rear of a broadcast facility in the 2400 block of Broad Street. Seconds later, information was provided that an unknown male suspect was now inside the building. Police arrived to find several employees of the business, outside the main entrance. Officers entered the building and located a male matching the description of the suspect. He was taken into custody without further incident. Nobody was physically injured in this incident; however, it is alleged the suspect caused significant damage to electronic office/television/broadcast equipment after entering the building by breaking a large pane of glass. The suspect was subsequently charged and held for court.
Nineteen year-old Arlen BITTERNOSE, of Regina, is charged with:
- Break and Enter with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence, [348(1)(a) CC]; and
- Mischief over $5,000, [430(3) CC].
BITTERNOSE will make his first court appearance on these charges in provincial Court at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2018.
