Police are investigating a collision that occurred on the 1900 block of Victoria Avenue early this morning, September 27, 2018.
On September 27, 2018 at approximately 12:12 a.m., police were dispatched to a vehicle collision on the 1900 block of Victoria Avenue. A car was alleged to be travelling eastbound on Victoria Avenue at a high rate of speed, when it struck the rear end of a truck, causing the car to spin out and strike a light standard pole. EMS, RFPS, and police arrived and attended to the incident. An injured person was found lying in the intersection, and the Jaws of Life were used to free two other occupants from the severely damaged car.
The victims were transferred to hospital, with injuries described as not life-threatening. One of the victims, a 31 year-old female, was identified as the driver of the vehicle and found to be in violation of the terms of her probation order. A quantity of hydromoph was also found on her person. The 31 year-old female was cleared from hospital with minor injuries, and arrested and charged.
Thirty-one year-old Francine Alexandra O’WATCH, of Regina, is charged with:
- Driving while disqualified [CT 259(4)];
- Possession of a scheduled substance (hydromorph) [CDSA 4(1)]; and
- Fail to comply with probation order [CC 733.1(1)].
O’WATCH makes her first appearance in Provincial Court on these charges on Thursday, November 8 at 9:30 AM.
