On Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at 12:28 AM, police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Scarth Street for the report of a masked male riding a bicycle with a large knife. The suspect was found by police en route at the intersection of 11th Avenue and Hamilton Street, confirmed to be riding a bicycle, wearing a Guy Fawkes mask in the style of the film “V for Vendetta”, and carrying a large knife.
Police arrested the male, and a search of the male revealed two more knives. It was learned that one of the concealed knives had cut the male during arrest, and he was taken to hospital by EMS.
A thirty-three year-old Regina male will be charged with carrying a concealed weapon [CC 90].
This male was released on an Appearance Notice, and scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on October 29, 2018.
