A twenty-one year old male is charged with assault after an incident that occurred in the early morning hours of October 6, 2018.
On October 6, 2018, at approximately 1:00 a.m., police received a call for service regarding a sick or injured person outside a business on the University of Regina campus. Reports indicate that a group of males engaged in an altercation which turned physical. EMS attended and treated some individuals at the scene for minor injuries. Police at the scene interviewed participants; however, there was no complaint from any of the participants at that time.
On Tuesday, October 9, 2018, police learned that one male involved in the fight had been taken to hospital. That same morning, police received a report of an alleged assault causing injury to one of the participants in the altercation. Investigation led to the arrest of a 21 year-old male.
Twenty-one year-old Takudzwa Timothy Brandon GANDIRE of Vancouver, BC, is charged with:
- Assault causing bodily harm [267(B) CC]; and
- Fail to comply with undertaking [145(3)].
GANDIRE will make his first appearance in Provincial Court on November 29, 2018 at 9:30 a.m.
