A 26 year-old Regina male is facing a Break, Enter and commit Theft charge in connection with a business Break and Enter just after midnight on November 1st.
Police were dispatched at 4:11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1st, to a business in the 3000 block Wascana Drive for a report of a Break and Enter in progress. Police arrived and observed that the back door had been broken. Several officers were added the call and took up positions outside the business. A canine team arrived to assist in apprehending the suspect. The canine officer called out to the male suspect, telling him to exit the building; the suspect refused. The dog was used to help take the suspect into custody, resulting in injuries to the male suspect. He was taken to hospital by EMS for treatment of his injuries. The 26 year-old male was subsequently charged with Break, Enter and Commit Theft, and also arrested on outstanding warrants.
Twenty-six year-old Wellesley Peter BRASS, of Regina, was charged with Break, Enter and Commit Theft [348(1)(b) CC]. He was released on an officer undertaking to appear in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, December 10, 2018.
